Ballyhoura Mountain Running

Four club members opted for the hills on Saturday for the annual Ballyhoura race across multiple distances of Ultra, Marathon and Half Marathon.

Peter Power was first off in the ultra and ran an excellend 6 1/2 hours for a top 10 finish in his first ultra. Loren Hartnett, Jim Connolly and Declan Murphy also represented the club in the Half marathon with decent performances from all.

Great Limerick Run

Well done to all the team who took part in the Great Limerick run over the weekend. Joe Laffan was the first GoTri member home in the Marathon in an excellent time of 03:18:18. In the Half Marathon GoTri newbie Tadgh Moriarity ran a blistering 01:18:41 to finish 12th overall.

The club was well represented in the 6 Mile race with smiles all round at the finish.

Speed Session this Week

3x2K at targetted PB Pace for BMOH 10K off 90 Second Rest -

Motivation = Think of the downhill cruise to the finish line after conquering the climb from the graveyard. "Running is the greatest metaphor for life because you get out of it what you put into it". 

Cycling Races

Race nights continue this week with sign on both nights at 6:30M at the Wells Church. Reminder to all who have not marshalled to date to commit to a date so we can ensure the smooth running of the events.

Training Weekend

Well done to the gang that headed for Kilkee this weekend for a training Weekend which included a recce of the HOTW course with tough running up around Dunlicky. Rumors of the cold water swim forfeited in favour of cold ice cream are said to be way off the mark as is rumors of the Liquor ban being breached.
